merry christmas!!

Today we had Christmas Eve service. It was more of a performance thingy.

I just got home and remembered to take pictures of my FOTD and OFTD, but I took my outfit off at church for a performance I was in.

So after a long day at church...this is what I look like haha (my eyelashes look like they're about to fall off!) I was in a rush but..it's very simple

Products used:
MAC Mineralize Foundation in NC40
Victoria's Secret concealer palette
Two Faced Shadow Insurance eye primer
MAC Bare Study paint pot
MAC Gold Mode pigment
MAC number 7 lashes
MAC Smolder eyeliner pencil
MAC gel liner in
MUFE Smoky Lash Mascara
Covergirl's blush in Classic Pink

LIPS I had on a creamsheen from MAC but I lost it :[

Having a monolid and putting on makeup isn't easy, especially without double eyelid tape, but I have to manage with what I have

A group of people plus me did a black light performance to a song called We Are The Reason by Avalon but it's the Korean version of the song. A friend of mine learned this with her group when she went to Korea and Japan for a mission trip, so she taught us.

Unfortunately you can't see the whole thing because my mom was sitting in the back and there was a grandpa filming in the middle of the aisle..you can see almost everything except a cross, other eye, Merry, and Christmas. The thing at the end of life is supposed to be a heart haha
It took us a good two months to practice, but it was worth it :]

PIC SPAM!!
Some of these were taken during Saturday and others were me today when I got home haha

BLUSH: Hipness

I was VERY VERY excited for the MAC To The Beach collection

HOWEVER

I was not able to buy all the things I wanted because I'm on a tight budget until I come back from Peru in August.

I got one thing
HIPNESS BLUSH

This blush first came out in the MAC Fafi collection, so I was excited to see it again. I really like the packaging of the new collection. It's very summery like the name implies haha

It's a pinky coral and it's a FROST POWDER BLUSH.
This blush gives a really nice rose colored blush when buffed into the skin.
(I'll try to post a picture when my lips are healed :[ I know my lips having nothing to do with my cheeks, but I don't like putting makeup on if something is wrong with my face hahaha..I know it does make sense sorry ^^;;)

WITH FLASH

It is SOLD OUT online..I'm not sure if they still have it at counters or stores, but by now I have a feeling it is. Maybe it'll be restocked online in a few weeks or so..let's hope!! *cross fingers*

I was VERY bummed out because the Marine Life Highlighter was SOLD OUT by the third day!! But it's okay...NOT REALLY :[

oh well :/

MAC BLUSH: Melba vs Instant Chic

DON'T FORGET TO ENTER MY GIVEAWAY!!!

Last week I went on maccosmetics.com and I was SO happy that they restocked Instant Chic blush from the Pret-a-papier collection. Not only that, but I got a free shipping code during that weekend!! I just had to get it, so I did!!

I heard that Instant Chic was similar or a dupe for Melba blush. But I don't see how that is :/

They are both in the same coral family, but in different groups.
Instant Chic is more pinky coral and Melba is more like a peachy orange coral.
The finishes are different as well. Instant Chic is a sheertone and Melba is a matte.

My recommendation: Get Instant Chic first before it's sold out! Melba is a permanent color so there's no rush.

REVIEW: Revlon, EOS, e.l.f.

I was going to make a video, but my timing always sucks so I hope you enjoy this VERY LONG review..sorry hehe

-REVLON SUPER LUSTROUS LIPGLOSS-
I saw these a week ago, and I decided to get the one in Peach Petal from the summer collection. I don't know how Revlon comes out with stuff, but Jessica Biel is promoting the summer line.

left to right: 130 Pink Whisper, 150 Peach Petal, 120 Pink Pursuit

right to left: Pink Whisper, Peach Petal, Pink Pursuit

The lipglosses are a mix of MAC's creamsheen glasses and tinted lipglasses.

PROS:
-SPF 15 --> protects from sunlight
-creamy/milky like creamsheen glasses from MAC
-sheer but can build up color; more tinted than creamsheens
-price: $8.49-$8.99 USD at local drugstores, ULTA, Target, Walmart, wherever Revlon is sold

CONS:
-tad bit on the sticky side..it's in the middle between creamsheen and tinted lipglass stickiness.

Will I buy this product again? Maybe.
I like to change my lip glosses up a bit, so I think these will last me for a while.

Overall: 4/5

EOS (EVOLUTION OF SMOOTH) ORGANIC LIPBLAM
I'm sure a lot of you have seen these before..

-95% USDA organic and 100% natural.
-Paraben and petrolatum free.
-Contains shea butter, vitamin E and jojoba oil
-Moisturizes and smooths lips
-Has a light weight feeling on lips
-Not sticky compared to other lipbalms such as chapstick, carmax, burt's bees
-round shape helps to "stay in the lines" of lips when applying
-price: around $3.49 USD --> reasonable for organic lipbalm of a big size
-four flavors: passion fruit, honeysuckle honeydew, lemon drop, and sweet mint

CONS:
-round packaging makes carrying the product difficult in pant pockets.

I like to put this on while I'm putting on my foundation so that my lips will be moisturized before I put on lipgoss or lipstick. I also put this on before I go to bed, so my lips will be moisturize throughout the night. When I wake up, my lips feel very soft compared to the next day.

I found mine at my local Walgreens, but they only had two flavors. I believe Target has all four, but I think they come together in a pack? I'm not sure, but I'll definitely check it out.

Last but not least

E.L.F. SUPER SHINY LIPGLOSS
The first time I found about these were from Holly (blog: hollyannaree.blogspot.com, youtube: www.youtube.com/hollyannaree) THANK YOU HOLLY!! :]

I wanted to try them, so I went on the website to buy some and I will NEVER go back on that site and buy anything from there again. The products are cheap, but I don't want to pay $6-7 dollars on shipping. Because of that, I bought two of each which kind of pissed me off, but oh well. *shrug*

I got three colors

left to right: Candlelight, Pink Kiss, Watermelon

-packaging is simple and easy to use and carry.
-smell reminds me of the lipsmacker brand chapsticks
-slanted tip applicator
-sheer and somewhat tinted
-contains SPF 15
-stickiness similar to MAC tinted lipglass

overall: 3.5/5
-Will I buy this again? Maybe if the shipping didn't cost so much!

Review: MAC Mineralize SPF15 Foundation

I recently bought the new Mineralize SPF15 Foundation along with the 130 duo fiber brush. This is MY honest opinion on the product..

On the MAC website it says: "A rich, luxurious compact foundation offering a creamy application for a flawless, medium-buildable, naturally revitalized, fully dimensional finish. Lightweight and silky to apply. Good for all skin types; particularly benefits dull and/or dry complexions. Provides super-hydrated, high-comfort wear and everyday SPF 15 sun protection. "

10 g / 0.35 US OZ
US $32.00

I am one of those people who doesn't like the feeling of makeup on my face. I DEFINITELY DO NOT like it when my make up cakes and looks unnatural on my face ( you never know if people pay attention, so I kind of get self conscious..)

This foundation is known to give medium coverage whereas the Mineralize Satinfinish foundation gives light coverage, almost similar to the Face and Body foundation. (Note: coverage WITHOUT concealer) but it all depends on the person's preference

The compact comes with a sponge, but I find it best if you use the 130 duo fiber brush. There's more control and it allows to get into the hard to reach places like around the nose.

Here are some pictures WITHOUT concealer
These were taken yesterday night..

Skin before:

Skin after with Mineralize foundation:

(I know the pictures are pretty O_O, but it was 11:00 PM and I was lazy to go all out because I was going to be sleeping anyways haha)

Pros:
-Doesn't look or feel cakey
-feels like moisturizer on skin
-don't need to use too much product
-Gives flawless finish

Cons:
-the shade you're using with your original foundation may be too light, so you may have to go a shade lighter

I heard that you need to go a shade darker, but I was questioning it, so I went to the MAC store and asked one of the girls which shade would be best. My original shade was best in the store lighting. I tried it on at home, but I don't know if it was the bathroom light that made it look lighter..I took pictures, but the new camera I got sucks -__-

So, I tried it again this morning, and the color matches my skin..So, my camera just makes me look lighter..and it has SPF 15 so that might have to do with it.

It's not a problem if it is, I put on bronzer and blush to give it a glow. But if you don't want to do that, get something a shade darker. I didn't have to put a lot of concealer either because the foundation did the job..I just applied foundation to cover my dark circles but I didn't to put too much on.

I highly recommend this foundation if you don't like a liquid substance, but it's all about personal preference. A good substitute would be the studio fix fluid SPF 15. If you're looking for anything lighter, I recommend the mineralize satinfinish or the face and body foundation.

(I have not tried studio sculpt or studio tech, so I couldn't tell you what the coverage is like with those.)

I also recommend using the 130 brush. It's more denser than the other two duo fiber brushes ( i forgot the numbers haha). It gives the appearance you're not wearing any makeup when you use the brush. It may seem it takes more time to use the brush, but it's really not that long. Besides, us girls MUST look perfect ;]

I hoped this review helped those who are interested in buy the new mineralize foundation :]

Collective Haul..review...disappointment

This is what I've bought during the month..I wasn't planning on buying anything, but I ended up buying them..

and of course, it's MAC

I bought....

4 things from the Too Fabulous collection:
-3 Creamsheen glasses in Boy Bait, Partial to Pink, and Fashion Scoop.
They are creamy and they are not sticky, which is a plus in my book. They're also pretty sheer, so I think they'll look good with any type of nude lipstick..
-Mineralize blush in Two Virtues -- it's a mix of purple and bright neonlike pink (haha i dont know how to describe it..it's pink!)

I got the new Mineralize SPF 15 Foundation in NC40 and I got the new 130 duo fibre brush
The last thing I got was the Studio Sculpt Concealer in NC42

I would swatch the products, but the flash on my camera is way too bright :/ but then again it's dark so...

I did not get the chance to try any of these products out yet because something was wrong with my eyelids. They were irritating and red. After two weeks the skin started to peel. It felt like I had a sunburn on my eyes. I don't know if it was my toner or lotion, but it was annoying me so much! I know it's not makeup because I haven't been wearing makeup for over a month.. :/

So, I went to The Body Shop and bought the Seaweed Purifying Cleanser and the Seaweed Clarifying Toner..

Pros: Gentle for skin, oil-free..I noticed that there is less shine on my face, it smells nice especially the toner..it doesn't smell like alcohol, gets rid of makeup,

Con: Doesn't feel like the cleanser is penetrating into my pores for a deeper clean. Not for acne or blemishes.

It's pretty much equivalent to the purity cleanser from philosophy. I'm thinking about returning the cleanser, but I'll give it a couple more days.

Do any of you have recommendations for cleansers and eye creams? I'm starting to see lines!!! D: I'm only 21!! How could this be?!?!?
I also looking for something that will reduce blemishes..I've been stressing out lately because of school, lack of sleep, and food. No matter what science or other people say, I feel like my body, especially the skin, does not go with the food I eat. I don't think it's made to eat heavy food everyday, but I think that goes for everyone too??

I'm sure all of you are aware that the MAC Give Me Liberty of London collection came out a few weeks ago.

I was so excited for the collection, but by the time I got to the store..almost EVERYTHING WAS SOLD OUT!!!! The things I wanted were sold out online too!! I was so disappointed that I was about to cry..literally. Sigh..oh well :/ Most look dupable, but the packaging is pretty cute..except for the pigeon. It...looks....crazy. Pigeons are dirty too! Why couldn't they use a dove or something prettier?

Maybe God's telling me I need to stop buying makeup?? But that's not right!! A girl needs to look good and feel good..it's expensive being a girl..don't you think so?

I turn my alarm clock on, but I end up snoozing for an hour!

QUESTION OF THE DAY: How do you wake up in the morning??

Today, I went to the mall to return something at Victoria's Secret, but of course..I had to go to the MAC store!! >_<
I saw that the Spring Color Forecast collection came out online, but it doesn't come out until February 11 in stores. I'm so excited for the collection!! There's so many pretty colors, but I don't think I'll end up using them. I'll probably sell them or something...

diet blog #3 --- MAC package

So as of...yesterday morning I lost 2 lbs!!! :D
It's not much but I'm happy!!!
I probably gained it back but still hahaha
I accomplished something this week!! LOL xD

Yesterday I ate....

Friday 01/29/10
Breakfast: two eggs scrambled, two raisin toast with hummus, two slices spam, 1 cup milk
Snack/lunch: 1 cookie with grape jelly filling, water, 4 dumplings
Dinner: tuna salad on 1 slice high fiber multigrain bread, 1 banana, 1 small cup unsweetened ice tea, water
Snack: grapefruit, assortment of veggies

Exercise: work (working at fast food restaurant is harder than it looks! There's so much to it!!)

When I got back from tutoring, I found my MAC package waiting for me!!!
I opened the box right away!!!
Like I said in my last post, I got 19 things...(I don't know why, but I just ended up buying a lot of...stuff)
I most likely will be posting up another video, showing the things I got.
I would rather show pictures than my face and voice, but I have no camera!! T_T

Which reminds me to ask you guys...
What camera should I get? A small digital camera or the big ones?
I really like the big Nikon or Canon ones..but they're so expensive! and I'm still an amateur at taking pictures...

Any suggestions???

MAC

I got my MAC package!!!!
It took a week to get here...maybe 6 days???
I wish it would come sooner, but the tax is so much cheaper online than going to the store and buying it, so the wait is worth it.
I'll still go to the store because I'm a very impatient person..

BUT

I got a few things from the Warm and Cozy Collection.

By Candlelight Mineralize Skinfinish
Comfort Mineralize Skinfinish
Nurture Shadestick
Cuddle Shadestick
2N lipglass

I'm so excited to try these out!!
I couldn't wait for this collection to come out and I finally got the stuff!!

I'm glad these came in today because I was having a crappy day but all is good :]

My brother ordered the battery charger for our digital camera, so I'll post pictures if it comes...if not I'll use my crappy camera phone like always...

BUT
I made a video!!! It's my first video and I'm kind of embarrassed, but I hope you guys like it :]
and sorry for the bad quality..I used my webcam and the lighting sucks, but it will have to do for now..

P.S. I'm trying to find ways to make this blog as pretty and cool as possible, but until, I am so grateful for those who read my blog!!! THANK YOU AND I LOVE YOU GUYS!!! GOD BLESS <3

I'll post pictures up that I took with my crappy phone...but I don't know when I'll be able to pay for the phone bill
