merry christmas!!

Today we had Christmas Eve service. It was more of a performance thingy.

I just got home and remembered to take pictures of my FOTD and OFTD, but I took my outfit off at church for a performance I was in.

So after a long day at church...this is what I look like haha (my eyelashes look like they're about to fall off!) I was in a rush but..it's very simple

Products used:
MAC Mineralize Foundation in NC40
Victoria's Secret concealer palette
Two Faced Shadow Insurance eye primer
MAC Bare Study paint pot
MAC Gold Mode pigment
MAC number 7 lashes
MAC Smolder eyeliner pencil
MAC gel liner in
MUFE Smoky Lash Mascara
Covergirl's blush in Classic Pink

LIPS I had on a creamsheen from MAC but I lost it :[

Having a monolid and putting on makeup isn't easy, especially without double eyelid tape, but I have to manage with what I have

A group of people plus me did a black light performance to a song called We Are The Reason by Avalon but it's the Korean version of the song. A friend of mine learned this with her group when she went to Korea and Japan for a mission trip, so she taught us.

Unfortunately you can't see the whole thing because my mom was sitting in the back and there was a grandpa filming in the middle of the aisle..you can see almost everything except a cross, other eye, Merry, and Christmas. The thing at the end of life is supposed to be a heart haha
It took us a good two months to practice, but it was worth it :]

PIC SPAM!!
Some of these were taken during Saturday and others were me today when I got home haha

FREEDOM!!!!

Fall semester is officially over!!
I was hoping to relax for the month, but I have so much stuff going on plus I need to start working again.. bleh
Another thing I was hoping for was to blog some more..but after thinking about it, I have nothing to blog about..

I have a huge pimple on my nose...does anyone know any good tips to get rid of pimples fast? sigh..darn hormones and all the stress during finals week >__<

I'm also thinking of doing a 365 day vlog..or blog...
because I really need a goal and something to do other than sit in front of my computer all day.

What do you guys think? Hmmm...
Any thoughts? Suggestions? Concerns?

HAUL: Ulta and Archiver's

I was able to go shopping last weekend because I didn't get to go during Black Friday, but I didn't get to buy what I wanted.
I did get a few other things though..

I went to Ulta instead to buy a few nail polishes.
They were having a buy 2 get 1 nail polish sale and I got three from Essie

I got:

Jazz

St. Lucia Lilac

and Prima Ballerina

(I totally forgot about doing swatches on my hand, but I currently have Jazz on)

I also got the infamous Seche Vite top coat!

I also went to Archiver's..it's a store solely for scrapbooking!
I have been really getting into scrapbooking/stamping/crafting lately..
I really need to tap into my creative side more haha

McGill Petite Petal Punch

(This punch is great to use for making mini roses!)

My Mind's Eye "Pretty" stamp

My Mind's Eye "Boy" stamp

My Mind's Eye "Perfect" stamp

My Mind's Eye "Adore" stamp

So, that's my small haul.
There's not much beauty related stuff, but I'm really happy that I got to go shopping!
Now, I just need to start working again, so I can do more damage to my bank account..which is not a good thing to do.

Pray For Korea

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — South Korea says it has scrambled F-16 fighter jets and returned fire after North Korea shot dozens of rounds of artillery onto a populated South Korean island near the countries' western border.

South Korea's YTN television says two people were injured, several houses were on fire and that shells were still falling on Yeonpyeong island. Yonhap news agency, quoting a military official, says four soldiers are wounded. The reports couldn't be immediately verified.

YTN says that between 1,200 and 1,300 people live in the island, citing an island resident. TV pictures showed black and white smoke rising from the island.

THIS IS A BREAKING NEWS UPDATE. Check back soon for further information. AP's earlier story is below.

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — North Korea shot dozens of rounds of artillery onto a populated South Korean island near the countries' disputed western border Tuesday, and South Korean troops returned fire, military officials said.

South Korea's YTN television said two people were injured, several houses were on fire and that shells were still falling on Yeonpyeong island. Yonhap news agency, quoting a military official, said four soldiers were wounded. The reports couldn't be immediately verified.

YTN said between 1,200 and 1,300 people live in the island, citing an island resident. TV pictures showed black and white smoke rising from the island.

A South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff official said dozens of rounds of artillery landed on the island and in the sea. The official says South Korea fired back. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of JCS rules, said South Korea's military is on alert. He had no other details.

The firing comes amid tension over North Korea's claim that it has a new uranium enrichment facility and just over a month after North Korean leader Kim Jong Il unveiled his youngest son Kim Jong Un as his heir apparent.

Tensions between the two Koreas also remain tense after the sinking in March of a South Korean warship in which 46 sailors died. Seoul has blamed a North Korean torpedo, while Pyongyang has denied any responsibility.

The countries' western maritime boundary has long been a flash point between the two Koreas. The North does not recognize the border that was unilaterally drawn by the United Nations at the close of the 1950-53 Korean War.

North and South Korea have fought three bloody skirmishes near the maritime border in recent years, most recently in November 2009.

This is very unfortunate and I am very worried of my family in Korea.
War can possibly break out, but who knows what will happen.
Please pray for both North and South Korea!

Perfume

I received a monthly catalog in the mail from ULTA the other day and inside were few perfume samples.

Gucci Guilty

Description: Gucci Guilty is about breaking social conventions and the feeling that you can attain whatever you want. It is about pushing your personal boundaries and experiencing the thrill of the forbidden. A daring, oriental floral, Gucci Guilty embodies the richness of amber and the fresh femininity of lilac. The fragrance speaks to the bold, trendy, but always authentic Gucci woman.

Suggested Retail Price: Eau de Toilette Spray, 1.0 fl. oz - $55.00
Eau de Toilette Spray, 1.6 fl oz. - $75.00

MY 2 CENTS: I really like the classy packaging and of course, it has the Gucci symbol. To me, this scent is more for the mature woman/lady and it has that very sexy scent to it.

pureDKNY

Description: A drop of vanilla sourced from Africa, a drop of good will. pureDKNY supports local communities by taking small steps to help make a difference, pure and simple. A soft floral scent with a signature vanilla accord.

Suggested Retail Price: Scent spray 3.4 oz. - $80.00
Scent spray 1.7 oz. - $60.00
Scent spray 1.0 oz. - $42.00
Body butter 6.7 oz. - $38.00

MY 2 CENTS: This scent is very soft, clean, and simple. It's nice to feel simple once in a while :] The packaging itself is simple and pure, too.

Michael Kors Very Hollywood

Description: The new eau de toilette is a fun, sparkly, fruity version of the eau de parfum. With the spotlight on black currant, neroli and mandarin. Alway sready for the flash of the paparazzii. She's fresh, she's fabulous...She's very hollywood.

Suggested Retail Price: Sparkling Eau de Toilette Spray 1.0 oz. - $40.00
Eau de Parfum Spray 1.0 oz. - $45.00

MY 2 CENTS: Like what it says, it's a fruity floral scent that feels playful. I think it'll be great for the daytime and best in the spring. It doesn't feel like a night scent at all. I really like the packaging though, it's blinged out..and PINK! It also has the Hollywood star around the neck of the perfume. I think it's cute, but everyone has his/her own opinion.

THESE ARE JUST MY OPINIONS and I'm just giving my two scents based on what I'm smelling from the sample pack. I really want all of them!!! But, because of my current state of unemployment, I have to stick with Victoria's Secret body sprays.

The prices may be different around stores, but don't take my word for it.

What are your thoughts?

Review and GIVEAWAY (CLOSED): Misikko

I was contacted a month ago or so and asked to do a review on two hair products for a company called Misikko. The company sells a wide variety of hair products and stylers.

The two products I was sent to review were:

CHI Silk Infusion (http://www.misikko.com/chi-silk-infusion.html)

What the website says:
CHI Silk Infusion™ - Reconstructing Complex is specially formulated for thermal styling and hair repair. CHI Silk Infusion contains no alcohol, so it won't dry your hair out as a leave in treatment - and it'll leave your hair with the head-turning, lustrous shine of pure silk.

Authentic CHI Guarantee
Farouk CHI Silk Infusion Features:

* Leave in, alcohol free reconstructing treatment
* Enriched with pure natural silk, wheat and soy proteins
* For soft manageable hair with incredible shine and no build up
* Protects the hair against thermal styling and environment

My thoughts:
I thought the product would be more of a gel consistency, but it was an oil. It smells like Hollister/A&F perfume or cologne, but it's nothing that bothered me. If you don't like that smell, then I would not recommend this product. After I curled my hair, it wasn't as hot as it would have been if I had not used the product. It really does protect from the heat and it feels very soft. I have thin hair and it's been a while since I styled it, but my hair did not feel damaged at all!

Rating: 4/5...Honestly, this is my first time using any heat protectant products on my hair, so I really can't give it a high review without experimenting with others.

and

Hana Shine Shield Thermal Leave in Protectant
(http://www.misikko.com/hana-shineshield-heat-therapy2.html)

What the website says:
Hana Shine Shield is the latest product in a line committed to safe, effective heat styling. Shine Shield is a thermal serum that can be used as a leave-in conditioner - lightweight and never greasy, it protects and strengthens hair whether you use it with a flat iron, hair dryer or alone. Shine Shield contains the natural magic of Jojoba oil for its superb qualities of deep moisturization, fast absorption into hair follicles and scalp, and unparalleled shimmer & shine. 6 oz.

Hana Shine Shield Features:

* Lightweight leave-in conditioning therapy
* Designed to protect and restore both hair and scalp from environmental and styling stress
* Jojoba absorbs quickly without a greasy feel for thorough deep conditioning
* Jojoba naturally dissolves soil, removing build-up from other styling products to leave hair clean & supple
* Jojoba naturally excels at thickening keratin layers, bringing out your hair's natural color overtones, highlights and brilliance
* Periodic use over time is proven to advance the quality of your hair & the health of your scalp

My thoughts:
This product is just like CHI except the smell and consistency is different. This one is a bit more runny. I like the fact that it has jojoba oil and does a lot more than what CHI can do.

Rating: 4/5

OVERALL for both products: 4/5
I like both products, but I like the Hana shine shield a bit more.
